This was not on the original Minja EP. It was being saved for the follow-up Ninja BBQ album.
I had asked John Mapes if he could play a small part I wrote on guitar, and to come up with a short solo for one small part. Instead of a short solo, he sent me him wailing for 3 minutes and 41 seconds straight and said "you can pick whatever you want out of this." and I managed to fill the entire song with his guitar-playing, and the song would never have been anywhere near as awesome if I'd gotten something more like I was actually expecting.
lyrics
Wild crazy ninjas
Wailing on guitars
Freaking out and getting wild
It`s wild crazy ninjas, wailing on guitars
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
They`re mammals from japan with incredible skill
They fight all the time, flip out and kill
Using all kinds of awesome of Ninja weapons
Like katanas, nun-chucks and Ninja stars
Killing pirates, samurai, everything inbetween
They do this all without ever being seen
The only evidence that Ninjas exist
Is the sound at night when they grab their guitars
And shred!!!
Heavy metal ninjas
Wailing on guitars
Destroying your face off
It`s ninjas flipping out, and wailing on guitars
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
(EMC:)
Ninjas are great at playing guitar
They play snippets of Slayer and throw ninja stars
Impressing the ladies they shred and they wail
If you don`t like it they`re quick to impale
Beheading and shredding they do it so fast
Sweating on stage no thanks to the ninja mask
They thrill you, they kill you, their style will getcha
Ninjas are awesome, that`s why they`re called ninjas
Twisted angry ninjas
Wailing on guitars
The awesomeness will kill you
When sick, twisted ninjas, wail on guitars
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
Their thrashing on guitars always leaves me in a trance
It`s just so cool I want to crap my pants
If they wanted to, they could play every single
Instrument in a band live by themselves
They pulverize their foes with devastating might
While playing the soundtrack to their own fights
The sound of their guitars can be heard from space
`Cause their amplifiers knobs go all the way up
to TWELVE!!!
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
Ninjas! Wailing on guitars!
